Cleaning and Maintenance
Mechanical FloorCare: Spray Method
For most flooring situations the Spray method is recommended, as it is the most economical. It does, however, require a rotary machine.
Advantages of the Spray method
The Spray method combines both cleaning and maintenance in one efficient, mechanical action. Regular use of Forbo Spray and a rotary machine will keep the surface of Forbo floorings in optimum condition and prolong the life of the floor. Regular buffing will further inhibit the adhesion of dirt. With consistent and regular use of the spray method, the original satin gloss is retained, making minor distortions less visible. Due to the small amount of water used, the Spray method provides a dry environment.

Manual FloorCare: Monel method
For FloorCare, the Monel method is an option when a rotary machine is either not available or not practical. Cleaning and maintenance can be carried out using simple method tools.
Advantages of the Monel method
The manual application of a Monel film protects the floor surface. The film absorbs wet dirt, which will be removed by the next maintenance action. With consistent and regular use of the Monel method, the original satin gloss is retained. This contributes to the natural appearance of the floor and makes minor distortions less visible. The simple cleaning and maintenance methods reduce work to a minimum and are easy to perform.

Renovation
The advantage of Topshield finish on Marmoleum/Artoleum is, that it can be renovated easily and safely, for instance if the finish has been seriously damaged by mistreatment or other accidents. The recommended renovation method consists of two essential steps: first the damaged top finish is removed by the use of TopRemover. The topshield primer will not be removed, though scratches in the surface will be refilled by the final TopFinish application. Then, after thorough rinsing, a new TopFinish layer is applied to the clean surface of the Marmoleum/Artoleum, resulting in a factory fresh surface.
